The $150 tryout fee must be paid via etransfer upon registration completion with SBAAABL only. Once tryouts are completed and team players are selected, players on each team will pay U15-AAA “regular season fees” to SBAAABL via etransfer and “team” fees to the team manager for team administration.
>> Players returning to their zone, will pay zone fees / team fees as determined by the zone and respective zone team.
SPBL has proposed a Province wide U15-AAA league to be operated by the SPBL Executive. Baseball Saskatoon has accepted the proposal and the Saskatoon U15-AAA teams will play in this league operated by the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League (SPBL). As this is a new format, there will be some changes and learnings as the New Provincial League gets its footings. We ask for your patience and understanding as we gather more information along the way
Team fees, out of town travel, weekdays and or weekends for games, some overnight stays, and hotel & meal costs are some items that will change from the previous season operated by SBAAABL. Regular Season Fees and Teams fees may vary and are yet to be determined, and as a total may range $1,400-$2,000 per season per player, as the New League is amidst formation and all costing is not as yet completed. Previous year SBAAABL Regular Season Fees and Teams fees ranged $1100-$1500 depending upon tournaments attended.
>>SPBL is the Provincial League where the Saskatoon U18-AAA’s currently play (Saskatoon Cubs, Saskatoon Diamondbacks, Saskatoon Giants).
With the U15-AAA Saskatoon Baseball league joining the newly formed U15-AAA SPBL League, the Saskatoon teams will operate under Baseball Saskatoon. SBAAABL Executive will continue to coordinate the Saskatoon teams under Baseball Saskatoon, but ALL league scheduling will be built and managed by SPBL Executive. Consult SPBL website (www.spbl.ca).
With those changes, SBAAABL will no longer have an AGM. The SBAAABL Committee are always open to new volunteers to help administer and coordinate Saskatoon Team operations within the SPBL U15-AAA. Please contact SBAAABL Executive if you would like to volunteer. This year will be a learning year under SPBL, and more changes will happen as the New U15-AAA SPBL League strengthens over time.
Please contact SPBL if you would like to volunteer or attend the next SPBL U15-AAA AGM.
Each team will require all families to pitch in to help with basic Team Management operations: treasury, extra clothing/gear/equipment, booking hotels, planning any meals for the team during double header games and or travel, social media coordinator, and game changer operators to name a few. We are currently waiting on more details from SPBL.
SBAAABL Executive will continue to coordinate 2022 team uniforms and team gear. Team Gear ordering details (sizing, quantities, etc.) will be posted following the Team selections in March 2022.
