Baseball Saskatoon Season Update

May. 26, 2021

Hello Baseball Saskatoon Members!  I’m sure that you have all heard the news by now that the Saskatchewan Government has moved outdoor sports to Step 1 of the Saskatchewan Re-Open Plan.  This means that we are allowed to play ball games starting this Sunday, May 30th, and we couldn’t be more glad for that!  To view the announcement and see a full list of requirements, click here:  and see the Baseball Sask announcement here:

Baseball Saskatoon plans to start regular season league games starting next Monday, May 31st.  With this short timeframe to get schedules out, we will publish the first three weeks of the schedules to everyone’s TeamLinkt accounts within the next couple of days.  The remainder of the season schedules will be published as they get completed afterwards.  We are fortunate that player evaluations and drafts are completed, coaches are in place, umpires are certified, diamonds are booked, and all that we need are schedules to get going!

Baseball Sask announced today that they are moving the Provincial dates to later in the summer than their originally planned dates.  To view the new dates for Provincials, please click here:

Now that we know the dates for Provincials, we will be able to decide as a board on our regular season league end dates, and Baseball Saskatoon Open Tournament dates (pending approval from the provincial government for tournaments and provincials).  We do know that league end dates will all be later than we had originally planned for the season.  Please watch our website for our season plan as these decisions are made, either on your division page, or on our Season Calendar page:

Tournament Registration is still open for all Baseball Saskatoon Open Tournaments.  You will be able to check our Tournaments page for the new tournament dates, and to register.  If your team has not registered for these tournaments yet, there is still room in most tournaments and you are still able to register.

Rally Cap Update:  Schedules are complete up to the end of June and in their TeamLinkt accounts.  They will now be able to start playing games as scheduled next week.  Jr & Sr Rally Cap will have three more weeks of games added to the end of their schedules.  Jamboree dates are not yet decided.  Sr Rally Cap Advanced will have two extra weeks of games added to the end of their schedules, and their league tournament date is not yet decided.

A reminder of a requirement for Baseball Saskatoon teams is to have all players, coaches, and spectators fill out a TeamLinkt waiver form for each team event that they attend for contact tracing.  Each team is responsible for their own members, and each player is responsible for their own spectators.  Contact tracing will all be handled through Teamlinkt waivers, and we will not require paper attendance sheets for games.

Thanks, and we will all be glad to finally hear the words “Play Ball!” very soon!
